Player Name: Xy Player Pronouns: she/her Player Contact:assemble. Please plurk or DM me for my discord as I don't want to post it publicly! Player Interests: Travel, cooking, baking, art, programming, fandom stuff, cats
Character Name: Steve Rogers Character Pronouns: he/him Character Canon: Marvel Cinematic Intended Housing: Townhome! Intended Position: Haven't decided if he's going to teach History of Earth or Art! I guess I will see if those are popular subjects. He can also teach combat but there's usually several combat teachers Summary of Character: WW2 veteran who fell into some ice and woke up seventy years in the future. He is a super soldier meaning he's fast, strong, and endurant. Often gives inspiring speeches. Really nice, golden retriever vibes. Will try to be helpful. Extremely protective. Truth, justice, yadda yadda.
In Newcomb he will be running laps at idk 5 am, not gonna skip his meals, trying to pitch in and figure out the mystery. I love the idea of him in dark academia clothing so be prepared for lots of visuals. He normally writes in print but due to the nature of the game, he's now writing in cursive.
I want him to have fuzzy memories of his life at home and then they'll slowly come to him. Mostly because I like the idea of him buying into his professor-ness, and I think his stint as Captain America might interfere a lot with that. In his extremely vague AU history that led him to apply to the school, he served in the army once upon a time (not really false I guess!)
He will be roommates with his surly best friend, Bucky Barnes. He will be trying to get Buck to make friends!!
More info is here, and permissions is here. I don't bite!
Claudia could probably take both/either, although if it's art she's probably there more to bone up on techniques for potentially having to forge copies of artifacts in her work back home. Also I want to put her in the computer lab to torment her with stupid newbie questions, so that's a possibility when he needs to set up a power-point or something.
I will have to work very hard not to have her assign him the Richard Dawkins book where the word meme is coined and leave it to Steve to figure out out how fringe biology invaded the internet.
Man, Xy-- I look forward to the many orange animals that Steve is going to run into.
I really want them to be good friends, I feel your Steve has a history of forging friendships, either with Daisy's Caleb or mine own so like I absolutely WANT this so much, this CR I am going to fucking live for! <3
Earth history from a genuine historical relic, you say? Even though his interests usually go further back than WWII, Gansey will be signing up.
He is also down to be friends/friendly with two very attractive grandpas, even if one of them is a previously-brainwashed murder hobo. It's cool, everyone's got trauma.
And yes, Steve can teach history older than that! Mostly military history, but, he's got an eidetic memory so he can honestly probably teach anything that's just.. factual.
I am very pro real adults adopting Gansey! Emotional support and actual parenting has never been a thing in his life and despite any and all vehement denials the kid needs several adults and a therapist. His parents love him and his sister, but they raised socio-political heirs instead of parenting children.
Don't tell him about that eidetic memory though, or he'll be asking a potentially literal million questions about every possible subject Steve may know. Gansey is unfortunately that person.
Gansey does have a type, and yes, it is absolutely beautiful broken things. He is also one of those. It's okay that you were a brainwashed murder hobo, you're recovering and now only murder people for good reasons!
Townhome neighbors! There are so many practical options with these two as friends/allies. Would he like to learn how to weld? Can he potentially assist with mechanical component and material acquisitions at scenes like the train crash with his big, beefy biceps? Oh, and I imagine Velma would enjoy sitting in on his class too.
Though I’m bringing in Loki from a point where he has no idea who Cap is, he will likely mess with him at some point because it’s just how they are. Perhaps Loki will enroll in one of his classes.
