Content Warnings.
Body horror, violent clones, memory theft, parasitic horror, reanimation of potential dead characters, monsters.
Summary.
The black goo from the TDM has soaked up character DNA and memories alike, transforming itself into violent versions of characters present in-game or characters from various canon. These copies are violent and may deal in body horror per player choice. Fire and ice are equally effective in destroying these copies. The black goo is sentient and seems to have been able to replicate any organic being from your character's world or past. The only thing it cannot replicate is abilities. So, for example, if your character remembers Superman, the goo could replicate his appearance, voice, and general personality, but it could not replicate his abilities. The goo is otherwise impervious against damage that is not ice or fire, and will either take violence with simply a grimace or have to restructure itself into a new form.
The black goo can use personal information against characters, but only whatever the character may already know from their own canon. For example, just because the goo transformed into Superman doesn't mean he has Superman's memories, just whatever memories someone else had of Superman.
This may also make the copies more or less violent depending on a character's relationship to them or memory of them. After all, if someone sees Superman as evil, then the goo will take that and run with it.
Content Warnings.
Forced memory sharing, probable spoilers for certain canons, found footage style horror.
Summary.
The black goo has also impacted some nonorganic items but only items that may serve as primary sources to past events: pictures, videos, phone calls, recordings, journals, etc. The black goo has taken whatever memories characters have (whether they currently remember them or not) and manifested them across campus in the form of primary sources. Of course, these aren't ordinary pictures or recordings. The moment multiple characters interact with the same primary source, they will be "pulled" into the memory, and essentially have to live through it. This functions similarly to games like Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Your character will take the role of whoever is experiencing the memory, and other characters can participate in the memory as secondary characters.
You can "die" or get "injured" in these memories and it will feel real, but you will not maintain these deaths or injuries in the real world of Newcomb. Instead, when you die, you may be ejected from the memory and have to start all over again (if you even want to). The memories must be of specific incidents that stand out in your character's mind as formative experiences.
If you do not want to use a character's memory, you're welcome to use the "plot" or "memories" from any published found footage genre movies or games.
These memories can be accidentally broadcast through the network. Once a memory has been "completed" then you can leave the memory and keep the primary source as an interactive relic. The memory can be experienced again, but only if another person is with you to interact with it. Otherwise, these relics will just remain as photos, videos, etc.
"Interaction" can be up to player decision: touching pictures, talking about the picture, etc. Whatever it is must include at least two or more characters. This can be as accidental and simple as someone picking up a picture and asking if it belongs to someone else or if they recognize it.
Content Warnings.
Forced bonding and bondage - but not the kinky kind. Black outs.
Summary.
Characters will experience brief blackouts and when they wake up, they will be chained to another character (or more) that they may or may not know. The characters will only be able to be freed from their chains after solving a few campus riddles. This serves as a scavenger hunt for characters to familiarize themselves with the campus and each other. Characters will get to learn about certain qualities of the campus such as the crocodiles and basilisk statue. This will be done through characters having to solve riddles presented to them by Cassandra.
This can occur multiple times and if a character keeps getting the same riddles, you can feel free to mix it up a bit to increase the difficulty.
Nia | Caleb Widogast - Critical Role
Player Pronouns: She/They
Player Contact:
Permissions: Permissions. (warning: kinks are accessed if you scroll down a little more)
Character Name: Caleb Widogast
Character Pronouns: He/Him
Interest in these prompts:
Prompt #1: Oh, so we're really going into traumatic memory engagement right off the bat? Cool, cool, cool-- famous last words to Iggy about not wanting to see his enemies here, eh? Well looks like certain key personages may make an appearance from his past, or at least how he remembers it. Trent Ikithon, Astrid, Eadwulf, for extreme angst purposes his parents. Wow, I love hurting my characters.
Prompt #2: You can be sure I'm going to be utilizing this, throwing a prompt up; but I think that it will also be fun for Caleb to engage with others in their nightmare/dreamscape sequence.
Prompt #3: Well, evidentially Caleb also has experience with the Goo bonding him to Iggy; but I am open to another forced ichor handfasting. But I'd like to keep it to one person for this prompt, so anyone want to hop on and be changed to Caleb while they solve puzzles in a weird sort of meet-cut icebreaker function? Let's go!
Edit: Caleb will be getting stuck to Steve!
Uninterested in these prompts: At this time, I'm really interested in them all!
General Limits: I have very few limits. My hard ones are cotton balls (please don't ask, I just don't like them) and also instances of of SA. Horror is all good however!
Desired Outcomes: Each event is Caleb engaging in the narrative, perhaps gaining CR with one or two people, and learning more about Newcomb; he may even keep a detailed journey where he just records everything; and then eventually he will graduate to the pepe sylvia yarn pinboard, where he makes connection and his brain threatens to explode with need to understand.
General Prompt Plans: Just gonna work on making connections for my Dirt Wizard, perhaps turning into an Orange Creature for Xy's Steve (as is tradition) AND JUST VIBING!

I am down for either to be honest! And also I am almost tempted to give Caleb the memory of his mother and father because I feel like that would do more emotional damage to him (maybe)?-- Like his mother, dropping off lunch to him in his office DURING OFFICE HOURS? HOLY CRAP.. that's not just a little bit messed up.
Do you have anything you are feeling? I am 100 percent go-with-the-flow!

Having Caleb see the sort of magic that is part of Gansey's life would be aces! Cabeswater can be either a wonderful place that exudes zen or a nightmare manifest, like any good fey-thing. You know you wanna meet Gansey's magical forest buddy, and/or see his friends who are jerks with insane powers who he loves dearly.
The idea of Caleb's mom bringing him lunch destroys me, thankyouverymuch.

-cues up the Road to Eldorado meme, at least in spirit, if not actual application-
His goal is to explore, this is gonna be amazing-- teach him things, Gansey! You can teach an old nerd new tricks it appears.

A very dangerous cycle of knowledge sharing begins here!
nothing about teaching gansey how to wizard while he teaches caleb about dreaming could ever go wrong.no subject
What is knowledge, if not to be shared?no subject
full of delicious secrets, that's what. not that these kids would know anything about secrets, amirite?no subject

Re: Nia | Caleb Widogast - Critical Role
I'm open to memory shenanigans, but also on the list of 'people who can generate heat/cold to actually hurt the goo clones'.
