And so very reluctantly shifted so that Pen could see the words written there, all of them in Caleb's own intricate hand as he had transcribed rather tirelessly.
"Where I come from, there are different routes to magic. Sorcerer's are born with it, Warlocks are given to it from a higher powerful, usually a contract. Wizards however, it's all self taught, we jot down somatics, use components and memorize verbals to cast-- a spellbook allows us to keep track of those spells we've studied and practiced, transcribing to memory."
